Thanks to all of my family, friends, clients, and colleagues that have sent me Christmas cards! I love the holidays and getting cards is half the fun of it, and so far they have covered half of my dining room wall!

Last weekend I went to the coast with my family, four generations of the Ash women. We had a great time hanging out and just enjoying each other (unfortunately we don’t get to do that very much). We spent some time window shopping but my favorite thing was the Oregon Coast Aquarium. I had no idea it was so fabulous! I grew up on the coast in
This shot reminds me of where I grew up. We had a big bridge on one side of town and you had to cross it to get to the other side. We also had a lot of sea lions hanging out on our fishing docks.

We found some cabins right on the beach. They were great and had a kitchen and everything! The sad thing is is that they are tearing them down to build a huge condo. A view from where we were staying:

Ever wonder about those fruit that are suspended in the air long after harvest season is over? They are persimmons. Our new house has a persimmons tree. My hubby said they taste like an apple but I don’t agree! However, they are a beautiful and unique fruit.
