I really enjoy photographing babies — they are so unpredictable, curious, and sweet. I had a great time photography Baby K recently. Below are some of my favorites:

Every few months Lily says to me “Mom, isn’t it time for a photo shoot?” I’m glad she does this because time goes by so fast and before I know it she’s in the next size of clothes and I forgot to take pictures! It’s funny, people think I must always have the camera out but the truth is I get so busy photographing clients and editing their images that I forget to capture my own family (it’s sad, I know). Anyway, I did a mini photo shoot in my yard this weekend of Miss Lily. I can’t believe how quickly she’s growing up!!:

Introducing a division of my new SoulFotos portrait line called Into the Woods! Into The Woods captures the beauty of the forest through playing with light and composition resulting in a mystical and memorable photograph. Our fast pace world is filled with technology, multi-tasking, extreme noise and just plain busyness and it would benefit us all if we just went outside and Into The Woods more. The woods grounds our soul, awakens our spirit, and brings us peace.
I did this shoot last fall and I’m now feeling inspired to share it with you and introduce this great new line! I had fun dressing the girls up in fairy costumes — after all fairies live in the woods! Some of my favorites:
Send me an email if you have any questions or would like to schedule a shoot! I’m excited about this new line of photography and I’ll be introducing new divisions of the line in the near future!! Have a wonderful day! -Sara
PS I’d love to hear your comments on it?!
I’m inspired by the sunshine and I’m excited to get outside and do some shoots so I decided to offer a spring portrait special! It expires June 15th, check it out:

My daughter was playing outside on Sunday and I heard her giggling. I went to check on her and she had found my hat that I bought in Paris and put it on – I had to take a photo of her! I love this one of my Parisian girl:

I had a great day last week at the park with Karter and his parents! It turned out to be a gorgeous fall day!! I feel so lucky to have such wonderful clients — Chris and Ashley had me photograph their wedding, maternity photos, Karter’s new born photos and now his one year old pictures. Thanks to you both for allowing me to capture your beautiful family – I feel honored to be a part of the milestones in your life! ♥
This weather is driving me crazy – I have had to reschedule several photo shoots! I can’t wait to get back outside and shoot! On a positive note, I’m getting caught up in editing, blogging, and Facebook updates.
I photographed M last month at a local park. She is such a cutie! Actually she looks somewhat like my daughter. When I was editing my daughter said “Mama, she has my hair and eyes!”. I laughed because that’s what I told M’s mom at the photo shoot! A few of my favorites:
Today I was in the mood to photograph something other than people. So I started photographing this lovely bouquet of Bearded Irises that my husband picked me. My daughter saw me doing this and decided she should be photographed! Since she is one of my favorite subjects I gladly took some images of her. Here’s the many faces of my Angel Baby Lily, isn’t she getting so big?!:
Oh, and here’s the photograph of the bouquet:

A few weekends ago I took these images. We lucked out with sunny weather! Here are a few of my favorites:
