This great thank you card arrived in the mail for me today. I am really lucky to have such great clients and these kinds of gestures make me love my job all that much more. It made me whole week, thanks!

I love the detailing on the card, the front:

Their whole wedding was beautifully done with these kinds of details:

Thanks Kiva

Recently I received an email from Kiva who was a bride last summer, and I photographed her wedding. She’s a teacher and also has a degree in photography and is thinking about doing wedding photography. This is what her letter read:

“I photographed a friends wedding earlier this summer and let me tell you, I have a much better appreciation for what wedding photographers do!! After I did it I was even going to email you just to say thanks again for all your work at our wedding and all your beautiful photos. I now know how much goes into it and it’s nice to be appreciated for it. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you did and how much I appreciate all the memories you photographed.”

People think it’s a dream job. Don’t get me wrong it is a lot of fun but the reality of it is that its high stress, you’re under a lot of pressure, you have ten pounds of equipment attached to you, and your working with a very restricted time line. Also, the job isn’t done once you leave the wedding — there are many hours of work ahead once you get home. Despite all that, I still love it!!

Thanks Kiva for your kind and thoughtful email. I wish you the best of luck doing photography. I hope that married life is treating your wonderfully!

Thanks Libby & Brian!

I received this sweet thank you note from Libby and Brian yesterday. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in July!! Thanks for the thoughtful card Libby and Brian!

The card reads:

“Sara, Thank you so much for the amazing engagement pictures! We can’t wait for the wedding pictures, we love your style! See you soon! Thanks again, Libby & Brian”

My friend and fellow photographer Cory Ann Ellis of AC Ellis Photography gave me the idea of photographing thank you cards for my blog. Thanks CA! The one blog I am sure to read regularly is hers, it’s fun and educational. Check it out: Cory Ann’s BLOG

Thanks!

I received this wonderful email from the bride of the Santa Barbara wedding that I photographed two weekends ago.

“Did you actually have any time to have some fun at our wedding? I hope so! You were VERY busy! We LOVE our photos! Thank you SO much for all of the hard work, the trip down, putting up with me, etc.! Thanks for the wonderful job!!!!!!! I really love our pictures!!”

It was such a tastefully done event on the beach and I had a lot of fun! She asked if I had any fun because I worked nine hours without sitting down and took a ton of photos!

She even gave me a toasting glass to have a mimosa with her and the girls (I had a virgin one!). She added a little detail to the glass to fit her beach wedding theme. I think it’s really cute and it was nice of her to include me.

By the way, my clients always have the option of opting out of having their names and photos on my blog. All of my clients receive a password protected slideshow so that family and friends can view their wedding day. If they choose not have images blogged because they don’t want the public viewing it that’s their choice and I respect it completely.

Thank You Ann!

I photographed Ann’s fathers surprise birthday party a few weeks ago and I just received a nice thank you card from her along with a generous gift! Thanks so much Ann – you made my week!
