Introducing My New Studio! | Corvallis Wedding & Portrait Photographer

I’ve been looking for the perfect location for my studio and I finally found it! It’s located in Corvallis in the Madison Avenue Plaza behind Noah’s Bagels and Starbucks. I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks getting it ready and just finally finished. Let me know what you think!!:

Stop by and say hi — I’ll be there various times throughout the week. The address is 425 SW Madison Avenue, Suite C in Corvallis, Oregon.

I will be having a grand opening in the next month or so. If you’d like to know more about that sign up for my newsletter (you can sign up for it at the very bottom of this blog). I will be sending out an announcement via the newsletter with various offers and discounts that will apply if you attend the open house!

This is what it looked like before all my hard work (and my husband’s hard work too – thanks Joe!!):

Yucatan Peninsula | Travel Photography

Last week I traveled to the Yucatan peninsula with one of good friends. It was a relaxing trip which is just what I needed! Here is some of what I saw:

One of our guides on our day excursion adventure!:

My friend — this is what we did the other days we weren’t on an excursion:

The pool and bar:

We lounged here a lot!:

This was one of my favorite spots! We laid in hammocks and drank mohjito’s here a couple of times:

This restaurant is famous for it’s bright colored chairs. They do a lot of model shoots there. There were photos hanging all over the place of where they’ve been published. I also saw a wedding take place as I was have a cocktail here one evening:

I love this!:

My favorite restaurant which was Italian! A couple from Italy moved there and opened it:

The only coffee shop in the village!:

The hut that we did yoga in. The windows are screens:

One of the Mayan ruins we visited:

Apparently the “red flag” means don’t swim in the ocean but we did not know that and the flag was up the whole time we were there!:

Outside market:

Paradise…

… I’ll show you more once I get caught up on things:)

Recent Travels

This last weekend I went to the coast with one of my good friends, Candace. It was just what I needed — very relaxing. We talked, read, cooked, hiked, and made art. Below are some of the images from the weekend:

My very favorite:

On our drive home:

On our drive home we stopped and hiked a bit and we found this cool structure:

Some images of the lake where we stayed:

On the drive around the lake:

A photo Candace took of me sitting on the rock bank:

Below are a couple of photos of Candace taken at sunset. I met her last year when she hired me to photograph her wedding. Her wedding was on my birthday and I had it marked on my online calendar that I was unavailable that weekend. She called anyway and said she loved my work and really wanted me as her wedding photographer. I said okay and we’ve been hanging out ever since. She is definitely one of the coolest people I know!

A few weekends ago my wonderful husband and I stayed at a gorgeous B&B on the McKenzie River called Eagle Rock Lodge. My family got us the gift as a Christmas present. Interestingly it’s where I shot my first paid wedding several years ago. It snowed most of the time we were there so I didn’t venture out much (after all we were there to relax), but the first day was sunny and here are just a few images I took:

My husband loves to raft down this river in the summer:

What is this?:

I sell my fine art so if anyone is interested in purchasing any images on here just send me an email.

Arizona

Arizona was awesome! I learned a ton of great stuff and I can’t wait to start implementing it all into the business. It’s kind of funny — being a photographer and all I hardly took any photos, but here are a few that I did get:

A view from our Villa of the courtyard:

I love all the cactus’s everywhere!:

Thanks to my roomies Angela and Cory Ann for the good time! And thanks to JP and Amy for the transportation and laughter — you two always crack me up!
