My daughter was playing outside on Sunday and I heard her giggling. I went to check on her and she had found my hat that I bought in Paris and put it on – I had to take a photo of her! I love this one of my Parisian girl:

I had a great day last week at the park with Karter and his parents! It turned out to be a gorgeous fall day!! I feel so lucky to have such wonderful clients — Chris and Ashley had me photograph their wedding, maternity photos, Karter’s new born photos and now his one year old pictures. Thanks to you both for allowing me to capture your beautiful family – I feel honored to be a part of the milestones in your life! ♥
Last week I had so much fun with Cody and Pamela! It was a beautiful fall day and we went to several locations around Corvallis. I love engagement sessions because it’s a time when I get to know the couple — we get to have fun and enjoy our time together without time constraints.

Artist’s Reception: Saturday November 6th, 5-7pm
I have an Art Show hanging through the end of November at New Morning Bakery (219 Southwest 2nd Street) in downtown Corvallis – it features my wedding and portrait work. There will be an Artist’s Reception this Saturday from 5-7pm so please stop by and say hi. This is a kid friendly event and snacks will be provided. I hope to see you there!! -Sara
When I photograph families I like to capture them as they are — I don’t do a whole lot of posing or directing. I interact in a natural, fluid way that works well for me to get great candids with real expressions. I prefer to stand back and capture the moments as they happen. Below are some wonderful images I got of the R family. We started in my studio and ended in the park. It was fun day full of play, smiles, and great moments!

I photographed Akshya and Dee’s engagement session last month on one of the warmest days of the month – we had to reschedule once due to rain and luckily this day turned out great! It was so much fun taking creative shots of them and getting to know each other a bit. Thanks you two and congratulations on your engagement!! Below are some of my favorites (there were so many great ones it was hard to narrow it down!) — I love the use of lighting and sunflare in some of these:
I will be on vacation October 15-26th and the office will be completely closed – that means I will not be returning calls or emails because I will not have access to technology. I am posting this on my blog to let my clients know that I am inaccessible during this time period.
If you are a high school senior and need your yearbook photo turned into the school let me know this week so that I have time to prepare, order, and submit it for you. The yearbook deadline for this is the week that I’ll be gone.
